About LZDS

Welcome to Lord of Zion Divine School

The Lord of Zion Divine School (LZDS) is a non-sectarian school duly recognized by the Department of Education to offer quality education to serve the public interest. It exists to serve the educational needs of the citizens of Bacnotan and its neighboring towns in La Union.

The governance and leadership ensure the integrity, effectiveness, and reputation of the school through the establishment of policy, provision of resources, and assurance of a quality education program.

The school’s organizational structure and climate facilitate achievement of its core values. The school and its Board of Trustees promote a collaborative and result-oriented culture dedicated to continuous and sustainable work environment to students, parents, and the community.

Our Courses

The Lord of Zion Divine School adopted the K-12 Curriculum; a program by the Department of Education which means kindergarten and the six years of elementary and six years of secondary education. The reform includes decongesting and enhancing the basic education curriculum for learners to master basic competencies, lengthening the cycle of basic education to cover kindergarten through year 12.

Strands

LZDS participates in the DepEd K-12 program and offers 4 Academic strands: ABM (Accounting, Business and Management), STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Management), GAS (General Academic Strand), HUMSS(Humanities and Social Sciences).

ATTY. ALDWIN "WINNIE" SALUMBIDES

Is the Firm’s Founder and Managing Partner. Being in active practice for 15 years, he specializes in litigation, dispute resolution, and contract negotiations. He combines trial skills with deal-making techniques in handling matters of litigated conflict; representing global brands, prominent individuals, and pauper litigants. A writer, musician, broadcaster and counselor, Atty. Salumbides sits on the governing board of several corporations. He is the Philippine President of Advocates International (the largest global network of law students and Christian attorneys).Schools Attended: Harvard Law School (LLF), Haggai Institute Hawaii (Faculty Member), Ateneo de Manila University (JD), San Beda College (AB) and St. James Academy.

Atty. Benito Jose Legarda De los Santos

Comes from a prominent clan of patriots, artists and physicians. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines and served as President of UP Office of Legal Aid and Law Christian Fellowship. He is also a Business Management graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University. He served as co-captain of UP Law basketball team and a midfielder for its football team. Atty. de los Santos currently serves on the Board of Christ’s Commission Fellowship, and with the Adamson University College of Law as a professor of Civil Law.

ATTY. RICHELLE JOY L. BELGIRA

Received her Bachelor of Arts degree, Major in Sociology, from the University of the Philippines, Diliman and obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the San Beda College of Law. She is instrumental in the case decongestion program now implemented by the Supreme Court, leading a research team for the Pilot Forensic and Statistical Analysis of Congested Lower Courts narrative.

Atty. Belgira was associated with UP Children’s Rights Advocates League and San Beda Law – Human Rights Advocates. Now, she serves as a Trustee and Corporate Secretary in the Institute of Studies in Asian Church and Culture.

ATTY. JESSICA MARCELA D. VELASCO

Actively served in the Chief Justice Moran Community Legal Aid before graduating among the top of her batch with a Legum Baccalaureus degree from Saint Louis University, Baguio City. She is a former news anchor and reporter apprentice who later worked as an intern in the Office of the City Prosecutor of Baguio City. Atty. Velasco pioneered and is passionately involved in several activities focused on social responsibility. She serves as a Trustee in a Non-profit Organization.

She is a member of several international organizations centered on access to justice initiatives, justice education, pro bono programs, and representation of the underrepresented, viz: Advocates International, Bridges Across Borders Southeast Asia Community Legal Education Initiative, and Racial Equality for Arbitration Lawyers. She also joined the American Bar Association – the largest association of lawyers in the world.

She continues to serve as an Of Counsel of the Firm.
